Wardrobe boxes are a smart investment for storing your clothing. This will allow you to simply hang the clothes in them and they'll keep their shape. Store your fine clothing and suits in Wardrobe boxes. Artificial plants or shoes can be tossed into the bottom of the box to maximize usage of the space. Don't let the box become too heavy.

If storing wool items, use cedar ships or mothballs to prevent moth damage. You can pack casual clothes such as t-shirts and jeans in suitcases and regular boxes. Try bunching several (12) clothes hangers (with T-shirts on them) together and looping two laps of shrink/stretch wrap around the necks. This keeps the hangers from becoming a tangled mess. Clean all blankets, draperies and clothing before hanging them in a wardrobe box for storage.

Never store anything in sealed plastic bags, especially in non-A/C storage. The humidity will cause damage to your goods.
